| I have a small like 50'x50' indoor park in my town, it has 5 quarters, all with effed up trannys and a wedge. Then there is a four stair and a grind box. Its better than my garage though. Hopefully me and mario are gonna go to XW on Sunday and sesh w/ BK TH and Dibbs. | |

| k for everyone that needs help on front scoots, i'm gonna give some tips.
First off, you'll notice that there are several different styles of front scooterflip. Some people (such as myself) are hunched over their scooter as they jump up, barely take their hand off, flip it fast, and land back on. John Radtke uses another technique that involves jumping high and just flipping the scooter with sheer force back under him (a good example of this is in the Fullerton day sesh vid with john radtke on SR. the one he does into the bank is a perfect example). Another type seems to be a lot more common on the east coast. This involves sprawling your body out and bringing your non flipping hand far off the scooter. Watch some AJ storcella clips, cause he makes this way look BEAUTIFUL. So those are just a few types. you need to find which one is yours. you can do this by just jumping on flat and trying to make the scooter flip forward (you might want to wear a helmet). Once you can start the rotation and have figured out what "style" of front scooterflip you are, then you can just practice the rotation while standing on the ground. Once you've got it good on flat you can start trying off kickers or ramps at the park or whatever you want. just keep practicing til you can land on it. really these things are a bitch to get. i landed one footed in december of 05 and kept landing one footed til march or something. then it took me a whole year to get consistant with them off of stuff. i didn't get them consistant flat til like last week. so once you've figured out your "style" and how to get the rotation, the rest is just practice. don't give up either, this is a very fun trick and a good way to get respect fast from skaters/bikers/people that think you're an idiot. just don't overuse them lol | |
